Marathon

On arrival you will be met and transferred to the 4-star Victoria Falls Safari Lodge.
Set high on a natural plateau, the westward facing Victoria Falls Safari Lodge borders the Zambezi National Park and is just four kilometres from the thundering Victoria Falls, Southern Africa’s foremost attraction. Enjoying uninterrupted views of spectacular African sunsets and year-round game at its on-site waterhole, the lodge is ideally positioned to offer the most discerning traveller a taste of Africa at its best.

Marathon registration day. A free of charge shuttle is available to transfer you to the marathon registration venue to collect your race number. This is a rest day so you may relax and enjoy some of the activities offered at Victoria Falls such as an elephant or lion encounter.

Stay here for 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

This morning you will be transferred from the lodge to the start of the Victoria Falls Marathon 2010. Run either a 42.2km Full Marathon or 21.1km Half Marathon or the 5km Fun Run. There are great entertainment at the finish venue with food and drinks to buy.

Transferred after the race from the finish to the lodge to rest.

This afternoon you will be picked up from the lodge to join the official marathon sunset cruise on the Zambezi River (drinks & snacks included). After the cruise the festivities continue at the official marathon after party (drinks & food available here to buy). Once your party spirit runs out, make use of one of the organised hourly shuttle services to take you back to your lodge.

Enjoy this day to take part in some of the many activities offered at the Falls such as a tour of the Falls, river rafting, horse riding, bungee jumping, helicopter rides etc. (On own account)

Transferred to the airport for your return flight home.
