From May to July of every year, on the Mboyti River Lodge in the Transkei, South Africa, the Sardine Run takes place. This annual event is nothing short of spectacular, occurring for thousands of years. As countless millions of sardines prepare for their northward migration, the oceans top predators are ready to get in on the action!. There are two ways that one can experience the Sardine Run in South Africa; either dive into the chaos or remain on board your boat as a spectator. Whichever you choose, you will see an abundance of marine life such as whales, sharks, dolphins; orcas and gannets and of course billions of Sardines that make up the Greatest Shoal on Earth!
